Eastside
Congregations for the Homeless
-
During the month of June our
church home is the host site of
Congregations for the Homeless,
the only program for homeless
men on the Eastside. In
addition to providing shelter
for approximately 25 men, our
main responsibilities include
preparing and serving hot
evening meals and furnishing
food items for lunches that the
men can prepare themselves. We
partner with three neighboring
congregations to provide
nutritious breakfast and lunch
foods and the hot evening
meals. We also have point
people available at the church
in the mornings and evenings for
the duration of the month. We
pray that this ministry is
helpful in speeding the
participants on their way to
self-sufficiency and appreciate
this opportunity to serve our
brothers.

Summer Hunger Campaign

Every year
our congregation participates in
a back-to-school drive
collecting backpacks and school
supplies through Hopelink. We
also participate in a Warm Coats
for Kids drive.
Lutheran Women Missions League (LWML)

The
women's ministry provides
opportunity for all women
members to grow in Christ, to
develop their gifts, to share
Christian fellowship, and to
serve the Lord and others.
